SXSW needs your vote!

Waggl CEO, Michael Papay, and Author, Keynote Speaker, and Executive Advisor, Sara Roberts, are being considered as presenters at SXSW’s Workplace conference, to be held on March 10-13, 2017 in Austin, TX.  These sessions will tackle topics from career development, work-life balance, co-working and alternative spaces, future of work, managing decentralized companies, HR issues, and employee rights in an ever-changing work environment.

Michael is teaming up with Sara Roberts for a presentation entitled, “The Connected Culture:  Uniting your Organization and People Through Purpose.” The idea behind the presentation is that the search for purpose is an existential quest that humans have pursued since the beginning of time. And yet, if you look at our workplaces of the last century, the relationship between employer and employee has been largely transactional, designed around the idea that people come to work to just do what they’re told and collect their paycheck. Sara also has written a new book called, “Nimble, Focused, Feisty: Organizational Cultures that Win in the New Era and How to Create Them.”

For the emerging workforce, personal fulfillment is something sought and expected in every aspect of life. Progressive companies are listening more carefully to their employees and making an effort to connect their organizational purpose with the individual passions of their team members.
